BUILDING A CHARACTER
THE DETAILS PAGE
To continue building your character you will want to go to the Tab titled Details. Once on the Details tab you can continue building your character. Here you will find info for selecting Complications and Hubrises for more information and a list of common Complications and all Hubrises, click on the link. Complications and Hubrises both give you more chances to earn Destiny Die. You also gain 1 Power Point for every Hubris taken. Also on this page you will find space to enter additional campaign information.
Complications
This section will go over selecting Complications and Hubrises for your Character. You can select up to 5 Complications and Hubrises total. You must take at least 2 Complications, a Motivation and an Allegiance Complication. If your Character is Awakened (or Technological), you must take a 3rd Complication as either a Power Maintenance or Power Loss Complication. Most Clans also have a Hubris they gain or choose as a Clan Quality, this Hubris is often spent on other Clan Qualities and does not count as part of your 5 Complications and Hubrises total.
Motivation Complication: The first green box in the section labeled Complications is where you will enter the Motivation Complication you want for the Character, labeled as Motivation: and then the chosen Complication. A Motivation Complication is a Complication that drives your Character to do the things he does.
Allegiance Complication: The second green box in the section labeled Complications is where you will enter the Allegiance Complication you want for the Character, labeled as Allegiance: and then the chosen Complication. An Allegiance Complication is one that defines what your Character is loyal to.
Power Maintenance Complication: The third green box in the section labeled Complications is where you will enter a Power Maintenance Complication if needed for an Awakened Character (or Technological Character), labeled as Power Maintenance: and then the chosen Complication. A Power Maintenance Complication is one that defines what your Character must do to continue to have access to their Supernatural Powers (or Technological Powers).
Power Loss Complication: The third green box in the section labeled Complications is where you will enter a Power Loss Complication if needed for an Awakened Character (or Technological Character), labeled as Power Loss: and then the chosen Complication. A Power Loss Complication is one that defines under what circumstances your Character might lose access to their Supernatural Powers (or Technological Powers).
Complication: Any remaining green boxes in the section labeled Complications is where you can enter additional Complications you want for the Character.
Hubris: Any remaining green boxes in the section labeled Complications is where you can enter any Hubrises you want for the Character, labeled as Hubris: and then the chosen Hubris. You gain 1 Power Point for every Hubris taken.
Clan Hubris: The last brown box in the section labeled Complications is where you will enter any Clan Hubris assigned or chosen for the Character, labeled as Hubris: and then the assigned or chosen Hubris. The Power Point gained from this Hubris is often spent on other Clan Qualities and does not count as part of your 5 Complications and Hubrises total.
Campaign Notes
This section will go over entering various Campaign Notes for your Character.
Campaign Notes: The large green box labeled Campaign Notes is where you can enter any Campaign Notes you want for the Character.
Description of Stronghold: The large green box labeled Description of Stronghold is where you can enter a description of your Stronghold or Base you have for the Character, including any Features purchased. Use Equipment Points to build your Stronghold and buy Features for it. Characters can pool their Equipment Points when purchasing a Stronghold.
Size: The small green box beside the label Size is the Structure Size, starting at Small, the size of a house, for 0 extra Equipment Points. You can increase the Structure Size by one category for 1 Equipment Point.
Background: The large green box labeled Background is where you can enter any notes about background or family you want for the Character.
Family: The small green box beside the label family is the number of immediate family members you have for the Character.
